Gender role in visual perception - Do men and women see things differently?

The phrase that men and women often do not see eye to eye has a whole new meaning. The study done by Biology of Sex Differences would explain a lot on the fight for the perfect colour shade for the house!

The participants in this study were young adults with normal vision who were subjected to various tests that examined acuity, colour vision, and stereopsis.

An interesting observation was that generally, males required a slightly longer wavelength to experience the same hue as did females. This implies that warm colours like orange may appear redder to a man compared to a woman.

Another interesting finding which may find its roots in a hunter role during prehistoric times was that men were able to capture fine details in rapidly moving stimuli - think looking out for predators or prey from afar.

Finally, we do seem to understand a bit more on at least one mystery that surrounds us and our world. Few amazing Eyewear Fair Trade Handcrafted products from our store are as follows. We are sure both the genders would agree on their awesome-ness and unique-ness.
