Local Business Heroes is an Australia Post initiative to recognise, support and celebrate small businesses for their contribution to local communities. Through the Local Business Heroes program, Australia Post aims to help small businesses promote their business, streamline and save on sending packages, stay connected with their customers and take their business to the next level.
We are humbled that Aksa Home Decor has received this award. Aksa is a mission-driven Fair Trade shop founded by Aditi and Susheel. We aim to make our world a better place for communities and the planet. The title of a Local Business Hero has helped us to raise awareness about the Fair Trade principles, support for marginalised workers, and the impact a responsible business can make on the planet.
